Complications - Fluid Accumulation
Previous Previous | Next Next

Clear or amber fluid may accumulate under the matrix between INTEGRA Template and the wound
bed. Although fluid drainage is a normal part of the healing process, fluid accumulation can lead
to infection and/or the formation of granulation tissue and should therefore be evacuated.

Intervention:

Evacuate by needle aspiration, rolling or wicking with a cotton tip applicator or gauze pad.
