    Repositioning Kompressor™ Screw

  • The K-Wire is removed and fixation is assessed. If after fluoroscopy, repositioning of the entire screw is required (A), insert the Extraction Driver (torx tip) into wooden handle, then into the blue or yellow Compression Driver. Tighten the Set Screw Knob (B). Turn slowly clockwise which will allow both the Leading and Trailing Screws to be repositioned. New position is achieved without change in compression (C). (Figure 15) If the only the leading screw need to be repositioned, loosen the lock set screw knob and turn the extraction driver counterclockwise.

    Closure

  • The wound is closed in layers, with special care
paid to reconstruction of the wrist and joint capsule
