Compressing the Uni-CP™
Plate
- After all screws are locked in place,
compress the Uni-CP™ using the desired
spreading instrument. Upon opening the diamond
shaped bridge, the compressive forces will
pull the ends of the plate toward one another
(figure 6).
Note: Large plates
require more force and can be difficult
to open using the small instrument. Small
plates can easily be over-compressed when
using the large spreading instrument.
