Use of the Tap
Tap: 119555ND for 6.5 mm
I.CO.S.® screw
- With the guide wire still in place, a pear handled
tap (119555ND 6.5 mm) is now introduced to prepare
the proximal cortex
- The tap is then screwed into the countersink
area intended for the screw head, and then unscrewed,
taking care not to damage the prepared threads.
This will allow for advancement of the outer thread
should it be necessary.
