Use of Drill
- The short cannulated drill (119522ND)
attached on the quick coupling (129710ND)
is used to prepare the location of the screw
head. The protective sleeve (119501ND) must
be used during this stage.
- The short drill will be inserted in the
sleeve before drilling. This allows to limit
the depth of reaming due to marks on the
drill.
- When the drill is used perpendicular to
the bone, the mark 90° must be flush
to the extremity of the sleeve
- When the drill has a 45° angulation,
the mark 45° will be aligned with the
extremity of the sleeve
- It is only when there is a 30° orientation
that the drill will be fully engaged in
the protection sleeve
- This allows for reaming only to a depth
of 5 mm sufficient to prepare the location
of the screw head

- For each of the screw sizes - unless a
mono-cortical fixation is required, the
cannulated drill (119515ND) is used to finalize
the preparation stage
- The drill is introduced over the pin and
drilled to a depth that corresponds to the
length of the screw to be implanted
Caution: Drills
should never be used without the matching
pin
