Positioning the Pin

  • A 1.6 mm diameter, 15 cm long, with single trocar point (reference 115116ND) is introduced into the site where the I.CO.S® screw is to be implanted
  • The pin is positioned by means of a drilling guide (reference 119505ND). Failure to use the drilling guide when inserting the pin may result in tissues entrapment.
  • Care should be taken when pin is inserted to respect neighboring blood vessels, nerves and tissues
  • The depth of insertion of the pin depends upon the surgeon's wish to achieve a mono or bi-cortical osteosynthesis
