Indications for Use
The I.CO.S.® Compression Screw is indicated for fixation
of bone fractures or for bone reconstruction.
- Fixation of bone fragments
- Fracture management in the foot
- Arthrodesis in foot or ankle surgery
- Mono or bi-cortical osteotomies in the foot
The size of the chosen screw should be adapted to the
specific indication.
Other possible indications:
- Fracture management in the hand
- Arthrodesis in hand surgery
- Mono or bi-cortical osteotomies in the hand or in
long bones
- Treatment of inferior or tibiofibular diastasis
- Maleolar fracture
Contraindications
The implant should not be used in a patient who has currently,
or who has a history of:
- Local or systemic acute or chronic inflammation
- Active infection or inflammation
- Suspected or documented metal allergy or intolerance
