Indications for Use
The BOLD® Compression Screw is indicated for fixation
of bone fractures or for bone reconstruction.
- Fixation of small bone fragments
- Arthrodesis in foot surgery
- Mono or bi-cortical osteotomies in the foot
- Distal or proximal metatarsal osteotomies
- Fixation of osteotomies for Hallux Valgus treatment
(such as Scarf, Chevron)
Other possible indications:
- Arthrodesis in hand surgery
- Mono or bi-cortical osteotomies in the hand
- Distal or proximal metacarpal osteotomies
Contraindications
The implant should not be used in a patient who has a
history of:
- Local or systemic acute or chronic inflammation
- Active infection or inflammation
- Suspected or documented metal allergy or intolerance
